I don't know if I'd refer to it as a trash pit, but there is one through a secret door and behind a wall in someone's house. At any rate, rather than giving more ambiguous spoilers here you can go to the (old site for) Avernum Annotated Maps that are linked to at the top of this discussion board to remove all doubts. Way back when, it was always a 'challenge' in the Ultima series to kill Lord British. So, apropos of nothing, has anyone tried to kill King Micah in Avernum 1? Any luck? Any haunted dreams? Posts: 148 | Registered: Tuesday, December 7 2004 08:00 |

I did this by accident the first time I went to the castle. I had the Token and all, but took a clockwise route when exploring the place rather than an anti-clockwise route. Thus, I was kicking down doors (sounds so much better than picking locks or casting unlock doors) just wondering where it all led and stumbled into the throne room ("Whoah! What's this doing here" I thought to myself - stuck on the back of some tiny bedroom or whatever). Had a bit of a rap with the king and then walked out. At this point the guard asked me for my Token. It was pretty funny really - talk about closing the barn door after the horse has bolted. I've done it a few other times where you go into an area the back way and then when you go out the front it gives you the pre-programmed "entry" text or whatever. In one case it was after I slaughtered all the occupants of the room - it made the description rather amusing that time as well (can't remember the details). Maybe its because I'm left-handed and don't explore the right way... And maybe that's also the reason I have to edit this post twice to get it gramatically correct. It depends where you found the other 5 :) But from the sound of it you are missing the one you can get in Bahssikova itself. Did you get one there? Posts: 148 | Registered: Tuesday, December 7 2004 08:00 |
