I don't live in Seattle, and in all honesty, becoming a full-time Spiderweb employee isn't quite what I want to do with my life. I'm 18, just entering college, planning on going into computer graphics (what I really want to do is design pen and paper roleplaying and card games, but I know that's something you half to just get lucky with). I'm pretty good at comp graphics right now. Not awe inspiringly good, but good enough that whenever I play a Spiderweb game, I cringe because I could make graphics better than that. At the very least, I could do introduction screens and interface graphics. (I think that I could do a better job with many of the character images, but since they are now animated, it would probably more work than I have time to do freelance, and all the creature graphics should be done by the same guy to ensure style consistency) Someone mentioned Jeff possibly buying the rights to certain graphics. Did they just say that cause it sounded plausible, or has Jeff actually said that? I didn't e-mail cause I figured he probably gets these with some frequency and would either take a while or just not bother replying. Out of curiousity, does anyone know if it's possible to end up working for Spiderweb Software without happening to be a close friend of Jeff Vogel? Posts: 3 | Registered: Friday, August 27 2004 07:00 |
