I have played the first half of Exile 3 and like it a lot. I hear that the Avernum series is just a remade exile series. Is that true? Is the story/characters/magic/locations/etc, all the same? I am probably going to buy all three of either series. Which is more worth my money? I have played the first half of Exile 3 and like it a lot. I hear that the Avernum series is just a remade exile series. Is that true? Is the story/characters/magic/locations/etc, all the same?

And in the end, does the flashier graphics of Avernum make for a better game?
