I am from Texas. Olaf is just a nickname I picked up in school and it has stuck. I tried the Nethergate demo last night, well sort of. The canvas/cloth looking background they seemed to be going for made reading the text absolutely brutal on my eyes. Almost like looking at one of those old 3d comic books without the glasses on, or something like that. So, I didnt get very far. Can anything be done about this? I checked the preferences setting, and looked through the readme, but I didnt see anything that looked relevant to my issue. I got the A3 demo installed too, but havent checked it out at all. olaf Posts: 19 | Registered: Tuesday, January 6 2004 08:00 |

I am playing Geneforge now and I am enjoying it. I actually bought it over a year ago, after playing the demo, and am just now getting to it. Anyway, I'd say I like the story/writing the most. Second to that, I enjoy the character development even if the mechanics of the game are relatively simple. I will say that the graphics, and to a lesser extent, the interface are hard to stomach at times. So, my question is, what are the other Spiderweb games like compared to this one and would I enjoy them? I am downloading the Avernum3 and Nethergate demos as I type this (and plan on checking out Geneforge 2 after I complete Geneforge), but I thought I'd post as well.
