I mean, i wanted to learn how to program myself and i thought, "the best way to learn is to make a rpg.", but now that i have a "functioning" rpg game, actually writing the story/adventures/keeping track of what the party did/graphics/sound effects/... geez, i feel it's never gonna finish. I thought to myself, once the "engine" is finished, the other things would just fall into place, but it's just so overwhelming. Once you make the game, is it really worth the money that you spent in making it? Your games are the best rpg games of it's genre out there, and i was wondering if the income that it produces is "just enough to get by" or "living happily". How long does it take to program a game like this? I mean, i wanted to learn how to program myself and i thought, "the best way to learn is to make a rpg.", but now that i have a "functioning" rpg game, actually writing the story/adventures/keeping track of what the party did/graphics/sound effects/... geez, i feel it's never gonna finish.
