when i make talking nodes for shopping, how do i make the npc respond to 'buy'? i tried all kind of stuff but nothing worked.

another question, i just can't find the terrain graphic for roads on the editor's list, where is it?

1. it's "purc" like "purchase".

2. The roads are terrains 79-81. They don't look very much like roads but the game will connect the dots when it's played.

another question....
i want to make a fletcher shop, and i want him to sell cavewood bow, arrows, iron arrows, throwing knives, javelins. these are not one after the other in the list, how do i make him sell these without the items in the middle?

You have to change the item list to make sure the items you want to be sold are one after another. I don't think there is any other way.

Then, have two different shops.

Not in my opinion. I've seen it in many scenarios and probably other Exile games.

Also, considering that there are 60 talking nodes per town and most of your towns probably won't have talking NPCs, it's really, really hard to run out of them.
