Hi!

Im new to nethergate and i have some questions

What are the two highest damage weapons in the game?

I want to know if it's worth making two characters with polearms, or if i will still have good damage if i make one with a polearm and one with sword/shield (celts)

-----

I noticed there are two skills "melee weapons" and spears

Isn't a spear a melee weapon?

-----

What are good special things to have on a celt melee fighter?

Im guessing the best one is mighty warrior

but for the second one is toughness, faerie blood, fast on feet or good health better?

-----

and how much will a 25% exp penalty hurt me by late game in terms of levels?

-----

For spell casters I guess
druid mastery is the best trait what is the second best?

fast on feet for extra spells per round?
or maybe limitless energy

This one I know less about, but you may find this thread, particularly under "Party Creation," useful.

Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens.
Smoo: Get ready to face the walls!
Ephesos: In conclusion, yarr.

Energy replenishment isn't as helpful as it sounds. It's a once per game day partial replacement of spell energy. After the demo, you can buy and make enough potions to do the same.

Fast on your feet is great because it gives about +2 to dexterity in determining combat order. The extra action point for combat isn't as reliable, but is still nice for fighters.

Strong back is nice for extra carrying capacity.

Spears are the traditional melee weapon of the Celts while swords are used by Romans.

Does anyone know if there is a list of shops/places where you can buy certain skills and up to what level?

2

Is the good/evil reward exactly the same?

3

If I had one character level 15 and the other level 14,

would they both get the same amount of exp per kill?

On Traits:

It looks like there are two strong traits worth getting (mighty warrior and druidism)
and they seem to scale when you level

but i cant work out what the others do exactly in terms of numbers

Faerie blood = take less damage and faeries treat you nicer

Guessing it adds some faerie lore but not to the skill so cant tell how much
Any idea how much damage it reduces?

Toughness = take less damage

Doesn't say how much

Energy

Almost fills energy once per day.

Are there more than enough energy potions to go around if playing on hard 4 party?

Fast on feet = sometimes +1 action point and +2 dex for attack order.

Seems useless for caster unless there is a caster item with +1speed so you can cast 2x
Especially with quicksilver feet.

Strong back = carry more
either 56 more or 25% more weight.

i'm guessing the latter

See Synergy's item list where the information is buried. You can buy some skills up to 5 levels if you haven't trained in them already.

The evil reward marks you as a murderer so that the Faerie Bazaar and the Hollow Hills will go hostile. Otherwise the same.

You can make as much as you need with training in potion making/alchemy. Or if you are real lazy the character editor lets you just add them to inventory, but I have to look up the code.
