What is an improper block definer?

I'm making an editor for G4 and I got pretty far without getting this. And now I'm stuck. I have no idea what I did wrong I've checked over and over and can find nothing wrong.

P.S. The people who wanted the Unfinished Version have now been given a working version from earlier on so no one else is to email me for one. ( I have taken my e-mail off and is now impossible to find on these forum. I think. )

P.P.S. The people I promised to give an unfinished version to now have it
P.P.P.S. I will post a link to the finished Editor when it's ready.

P.P.P.P.S. Title has been cleaned up. :P

P.P.P.P.P.S. Thanks. Post-Postscript person.

P.P.P.P.P.P.S. Is existant spelt right?

Why look at my Sig?

Apparently, in BoA this is sometimes caused by including a break statement where one shouldn't be. In G4 it's probably something similar.

If that doesn't help, you'll probably need to show us the entire script.

Well. O.K.

I can max most stats.
I can give lots of items.
I've made my own Items.
That's what most editors do though.
I have a few special features that I don't want to tell right now else other ppl might try and put them in their editors before mine's finished :P .

Right now I'm looking for a small mistake. I can't find it and it's so frustrating  !!!

Also I'm thinking about making a new creation. ;) I'm not sure whether or not it would work or how you would go about making one but I'm thinking and looking around and checking and re-checking.

That's all I'm saying for now.

EDIT: Oh and cryptozoology, Thanks.

By the way, the appropriate form for that - if there can be said to be such a thing - is P.S., then P.P.S., then P.P.P.S., etc.

You want a post-postscript, not a postscript-script.

1. Posting here so I don't have to make a new thread.

2. When I try to use the editor it says "Semi-colon missing in line 2929.

I have 2 questions.

1st of all the area doesn't even have 2929 lines so what's that trying to say?

2nd of all I don't think there is a semi-colon missing because I've gone through the entire z0reb.. several times and I see no missing semi-colon. Is it possible that it means another form of error?

That's all. Plz answer.

Yeah, I kind of figured but I'm not sure how it works yet.

Anyway right now I'm stuck on the semi-colon thing. I can't do anything else until that's fixed. :(

No, it's existent.

Not sure, however notepad tends to dislike lines so try copy-pasting it into a word document and see if you have 2929 lines.

Not really, when a computer says a semi-colon is missing its not secret code for your dinner is burning. It really means you forgot a semi-colon. :P

Not necessarily. It means that the computer encountered what it thought was the end of an expression and expected a semi-colon where there was none. So the error might not be a missing semi-colon at all, but an badly formed expression. E.g. inserting an extra line break, mismatched parentheses or quotemarks, that kind of thing could be the real cause.

So I might have put in an extra quotation mark where there was no need and the computer expects a semi-colon after that.

Is that what you mean?

And as If Adal Basir's words carried immense Mystical power, as I read his post the fire alarm went off and I discovered that I had burnt my dinner!!!
Coincedence? ;)

Believe it or not even in a Word document it still doesn't have 2929 lines. Nice try but no dice.
Any other Ideas?

Is that what you mean?

Yes, or missed one out. Or maybe a bracket. I'm not sure really, my text editor prevents me from making that kind of mistake, and I've never seen that particular error message.

Sorry to hear about your dinner.

Edit: Also I'd warn against opening the scripts with Microsoft Word as it may ruin the file format (including line breaks) when it saves. You're better off using a proper text editor. Do watch the line breaks, ensure you save the file in the same format as it started in. edit.com may be more useful than notepad.exe in that regard.

If you are still stuck and unable/unwilling to get a better editing program, try removing the additions/changes you made that caused the error to occur and try it again. Maybe you made a one-time mistake typing or copying and redoing it will solve the problem.

Dikiyoba realizes this suggestion isn't the greatest help ever, but it is something to try if nothing else is working.

Yeah Thanks...

When I change a couple of things to a state that I know works they work but when I reach the one that has a problem it doesn't show up but there's nothing wrong with the text.

Also is it actually possible to make new creations?

Obviously the creations is lowest priority right now.

Well, you might as well post the section that you think the problem is in. Maybe someone can fix it.

Dikiyoba seriously, seriously doubts it.
