Slartucker's item list as well as Synergy's list do not list a location for this item. Also searched old threads with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Glowing basalt, I think is a quest item usually found in caches to the west of the Tower Colony in area near the Surface Portal and the Sulphorous Flats.
