Redownloaded the almost 14MB file using 'Fresh Download' -- installed with no problems this time.

Runs great ---- until combat -------

Even with the game speed set to its max., the battle sequences is still a little slow.

My 'mickey mouse' system is dated April, 1999
HP 4530 AMD K6-2/350 MHz, 128 MB ram.

So why is it slow? :(

I assume you don't have anything else running in the background?

The only things running are my Antivirus program, mem monster and Sygate's personal firewall.

I guess I can cancel the last two and see what happens.

Thanks --- James

Why not cancel all three? I've never got a virus in many years and don't have antivirus.

Apparently still annoying.

Same here, if your the only one using your computer and you have any working knowledge of a computer you shouldnt get a virus.

If its also used by your family/spouse then you might want to turn it back on after your done with the comp.

The slow down is related to Timber-Wolf's problem with the death graphics running slow.

Yes mine is quite slow as well, I only noticed the death graphics at first but playing Avernum 3 as a comparision I noticed it is crawling in comparison, even with the only programs running Explorer and BOA
