Does anyone know where I can find a Madness Gem?

I'm on a quest, and with pretty much every shop owner on my map dead, I can't figure out where one is... Earlier in my game, if I found pods spores or gems, most were just left, so anywhere you can think of would be GREAT! :D

You can get some madness gems in the crystal mines. (Im talking about the radioactive one.) Its in the center of the area, but they are really hard to get,
hope you brought some heals....
