Altho' my movements are restricted, because I am still stuck with the demo for now, there still seems to be a lot to do. For instance, in an oblong building in the Kentia East Gate Zone, I have found something called the Forging Anvil. You can enhance weapons and armor, by putting artifacts labeled "Item Enhancement" and an object on the anvil. Right now, I am trying to get it to make a wand. I have all the ingredience, but it won't work. If anyone has gotten the chance to try this out, can anyone tell me what I'm not doing here? Posts: 18 | Registered: Wednesday, November 2 2005 08:00 |

what do you mean by all the ingredients? like, you got the ingredients needed off of a walkthrough, or what? anyways, sometimes it seems you need to combine parts of it separately... i never bothered making wands, so i don't know if you do for wands. in any event, if you're following the game's "recipes" you may have to read between the lines a little bit... often they aren't terribly specific... Stick? Yes. And the Drahon scale, the wiry moss, ... and the perfect shard. I think those are what I need, but I'm not sure. Posts: 18 | Registered: Wednesday, November 2 2005 08:00 |

You need a gemstone, not a perfect shard. [ Sunday, November 13, 2005 16:00: Message edited by: Cubic Zirconia Cattle Wrangler ] -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Thanks. Got plenty of them, too. Kinda hording. In the GF Series, ... you never know what's going to prove useful. EDIT: Huh? I'm trying to make a Wand of Inferno. All I got out of this was a Spray Crystal. And I already have 20 of those. [ Sunday, November 13, 2005 16:28: Message edited by: Aurora ] Posts: 18 | Registered: Wednesday, November 2 2005 08:00 |

Well, I followed that recipe. And nothing happens -- except that little comment below the forge that these things don't combine to make anything. What went wrong? Posts: 18 | Registered: Wednesday, November 2 2005 08:00 |

Have you double-checked to make sure you're using the right items, and not other items that look similar? Do other recipes work properly? -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Yes. I have made the All-Protector, and I have made spray-crystals. I've also successfully used enhancements on all of my gear that I could. I've checked, rechecked, and triple-checked what I have on the forge. I have tried combining just a couple parts at once. I have even tried testing different ingrediants, in case the above advice was a typo. I'm out of options here. i'm just going to check something here... you say you're still in the demo area? are you *sure* you have a drakon scale, and not (for example) a fyora scale? because those are completely different items, just so you know. maybe i'm wrong, but i for one don't remember being able to get a perfect drakon scale that early in the game... I'm in the South Fort Kentia area. And I am using the right scale. Well, see, ... I am using the character editor to get all the best good- ies for this sort of thing. Heh. I suddenly had so much stuff that it took me three trips from in front of the school ruins to the anvil shed to get everything pit away in that locker that's there. That's where I like to stash all my extra treasures. Got some really nice enhanced items for it, too. If you're already cheating, why not use an editor to give yourself the deuced wand in the first place? :P -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Well, that's a nice idea, but wands aren't included. Just the components. On Cheating: Well, I'm sorry to admit that I am just not as good at some games as I'd like to be. I'd never get to see what happens next without some sort of 3rd-person aid. -_- [ Saturday, November 19, 2005 23:34: Message edited by: Aurora ] Posts: 18 | Registered: Wednesday, November 2 2005 08:00 |

Ok, I still don't get it. Read all messages and walkthrus I can find but this forging stuff escapes me. I took bile and tincture and made purifying essence. I then put it with shaper belt to make perfected belt. I now put that on forge with blood poison and nothing happens. Also, the recipe for a Crystalline Shroud is a deep focus orb and a "Plate". Not a dinner plate, I assume. So what is it? I have a huge pile of everything in the anvil room but nothing works. Help! Posts: 3 | Registered: Monday, November 21 2005 08:00 |

you're reading it wrong. you need the item on the top *and* bottom, so not only do you need blood poison, you also need a deep focus orb. to get the shroud, you need the deep focus orb and crystalline fibers, plus perfected plate (same way as making a perfected shield, except you need a shaped breastplate instead of a shaped shield, naturally). and so on. hope that helps :D Posts: 109 | Registered: Sunday, August 14 2005 07:00 |
