How come a G3 picture of Spears isle the charachter has both greta and alwan?

The first screenshot, right?

Supposedly you can't take both of them past Dhonal's Island. Has anyone gotten them to the Isle of Spears without using a cheat script?

those screenies were released long before the game was released it probably was just one of those things to show the game...
