When you cast spray acid on an enemy and the acid kills it, you do NOT get experience from it. Is it supposed to be like that? OR was spray acid JUST supposed to be a spell to weaken tough enemies? -------------------- -Zephyr Tempest, your personal entertainer Posts: 1779 | Registered: Monday, December 9 2002 08:00 |

It's not a bug, it's a feature. Kills by summoned monsters don't give you experience either. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Well, some monsters have acidic abilities too, and they can fight each other (if charmed or confused, for example). So, for example, if a slime killed something with acid, the game has no way of telling whether the acid is due to you or the slime -- and in the latter case, you obviously shouldn't be awarded the experience. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! sure but dont monsters also have melee attacks? fireballs? etcetcetc? one can charm/confuse those, too. edit: ah ok, i got it. acid is no direct attack, its stored in the "monsterinfo" or whatever that has been attacked. the computer can tell where the fireball etc came from, though. right? Exactly. Well, obviously, A3 doesn't have fireballs, but you get the idea. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Cloud of Blades causes this problem as well, but Cloud of Blades is a far more useful spell. —Alorael, who usually hopes to kill enemies with the first appearance of the cloud. Otherwise, just use it sparingly enough that you don't cripple your party. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |
