Um, I think that he's in ZKR -------------------- Soy sauce makes everything better. Except for Giant Intelligent Friendly Talking Spiders. Soy sauce makes Giant Intelligent Friendly Talking Spiders all sticky. And it makes them smell funny. But soy sauce makes everything else better. Just not Giant Intelligent Friendly Talking Spiders. In the caverns you have to fight off the giant demon after that in the north east which is just the other side of the demons layer where the alter and all is, you will find the mushrooms that the mage wanted you to retrieve..I dunno if you accepted the quest or not like i did but thats what is preventing you from going back up the portal. The are allong the wall kinda hard to find but just keep running along and eventually a dialog will pop up and say that you didn't think you could find mushrooms down here and you inspect and sure enough they are the ones with red spots that they wanted and then just leave the way you came in. I gave the mushrooms up to the mage for safe passage through the mushroom field not the info on some gems..which i may messed up in not taking the scroll I dont know if that is the object which i need to pass the dragons fort later on...Im trying to pass that now Posts: 6 | Registered: Monday, August 2 2004 07:00 |

Semi Spoilers - - - - - - - - - - - The demon captmurdock talks about is actually a Haakai, but you don't have to fight him to get the poppy shrooms. I believe there are two areas in the Deep Caverns with the poppy shrooms, both of which are far out of reach. I know one area is located in the far northeast. Once you have stumbled onto the area, you will recieve a message stating that you have found the poppy shrooms. Then just go back the way you came. I would advise that you explore the whole cavern, checking for secret passages. There is some nice stuff down there. You can steal the Dragon Scroll from Morgoth (or whatever his name is) later, so dont accept it as payment. Hold out until he (she?) offers the two other treasures. Edit: Check Catapults post for teh corrections. I'm too lazy to make them. Check the automap. The way out is in the square-ish room near the SW corner. And the 'shrooms aren't 'poppy shrooms'. They're called "Morog's Shrooms" in the Special Items list.
