Okay, I know it has been discussed before, and I know it's not going to happen and I know that it is a somewhat contraversial issue on these boards, BUT... HOW GOOD WOULD INTERNET AVERNUM BE!!!! Anyway, what do you guys think, I know it has it down sides and that it probably isn't going to happen, but I can't help wondering what spiderweb is going to do after BoA... It would be like... Finally, a chance to show my character off to the world. -------------------- Signatures can appear at the bottom of your posts. Probably really slow, what with the time co-ordinating and everything. And where would the heroes be? -------------------- "Oh, North Wind, why frighten others? In Nature's family all are brothers. Puff and blow and wheeze and hiss; You can't frighten Shingebiss. Bring your frost and ice and snow; I'm still free to come and go. The heroes would be cowering in the corner, along with the biggest prime number. [ Saturday, January 17, 2004 16:40: Message edited by: Reality Corp. ] -------------------- Austrian Alex Posts: 1307 | Registered: Tuesday, May 7 2002 07:00 |

the avernum series should not be subjected to the internets abuse of really good rpg's -------------------- Hold fast young one, there is danger all about. Perhaps I'm just missing the point, but I'm missing the point... The world of Avernum is hardly original (not saying I don't like it), turn-based combat will bore, and without any attraction points of the outer game world, any attempt at a MMORPG of Avernum would end in a firey impalation of it's own chest. There are already plenty of MMORPGs out there, more coming every year, surely you can find one that suits your playing tastes. I, for one, would like to avoid any further monthly fees just to play a game I payed $50+ bucks for. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! quote:Well, I meant that we'd all be heroes, therefore none of us being heroes, because all the quests would be done like *that* (snaps fingers) and all the civilians would be controlled by A.I. It's like all of us being Batman, or something. Some of us being Batgirl. (Other than being discovered recently, does the biggest prime number relate at all?) -------------------- "Oh, North Wind, why frighten others? In Nature's family all are brothers. There is no biggest prime number. That was the point. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |
