I think Arcantayter (definite spelling problem there) said he was gunna do it. If not him, someone like him. I'd like to know the status of it, too. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

I kinda forgot about it. I'll go back into my inbox and find the passwords and see if I can go about adding and editing things. -------------------- "At times discretion should be thrown aside, and with the foolish we should play the fool." - Menander ==== Drakefyre's Demesne - Happy Happy Joy Joy Encyclopedia Ermariana - Trapped in the Closet ==== You can take my Mac when you pry my cold, dead fingers off the mouse! quote:LOL. Someone 'like' me. :D Nope, sorry, I never suggested I was gonna make one. I'm also far too short on time to actively administrate it. Right now, my last year of school is eating up all my spare time, and my internet is switched off more often than not ('thanks' to my dad, who has decided to take an active role in 'aiding me focus on schoolwork' ) -------------------- Encyclopaedia • Archives • Members • RSS [Topic / Forum] • Blog • Polaris • NaNoWriMo Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair. What would be helpful is list of all BoA-related sites. I have the Louvre, and I'll add the Lyceum, but I need more URLs. I still have that encyclopedia in my sig (related to BoE and BoA both), but it's extremely undeveloped and has next to no content (apart from a debatable line of emperors, a short and far from complete list of monsters with descriptions, some unfinished maps etc.) But if you include Karzoth's, then mine is okay as well, his site doesn't have more content. :P Btw, roundabout June next year I'll be completely free of school responsibilites for a year. I'll do some part-time jobs or a practical, but I'll have a lot of time. If you don't get this webring off the ground till then (*smirks*), I'd be happy to help. :D [ Friday, October 24, 2003 03:15: Message edited by: Arancaytar ] -------------------- Encyclopaedia • Archives • Members • RSS [Topic / Forum] • Blog • Polaris • NaNoWriMo Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair. Hah, people quit slamming me! I have nothing to put up until BOA is ever released. BUT we do have a new member, RageAgainstThePoochine, that brings us up to 4! We're happy to see more people taking that step up to help us. We look foward to more members in the time to come. I'd like to help, also, but I'm not really sure what I could do. Let me know if you want help. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Yes, that would be fine. And I said before, URLs would be nice. Speaking of maps, anyone (Arancaytar), I have a very special, BoE bitmap for a very good scenario that's in the works right now. I'm not making it, and it's not RiB (whoops!), and I'm not sure if the designer wants me to give out maps till he releases it. I've also got a few other maps, hanging around, but they don't serve much of a purpose. -------------------- "Oh, North Wind, why frighten others? In Nature's family all are brothers. Ahem, Karzoth, if I've understood correctly, Lyceum will host all kinds of BoA stuff side by side with their BoE stuff. And all those newbies who haven't even ever tried BoE? I'm sure there are some who are.. meh, manical, and will start sacrificing their lives to improve the community. *use translator, don't laugh* -------------------- The Great Mister kommari@gmail.com[/url] Posts: 972 | Registered: Tuesday, October 28 2003 08:00 |

Here's the thing - a Webring exists. Drakfyre created it. All he needs to do now is advertise it. We can put a link to it in this forum's header, for example. Arguing over the viability of a ring is an interesting diversion, but ultimately useless. It either will or won't take off. I believe it will, and there are indications in the BoE community that it will. If it doesn't, the only harm done is loss of time on the individual maintaining it, and those who joined and added the webring code to their pages. What I don't want to see is what happened in the early days of BoE - many fragmented sites that led to confusion. Newbies had a hard time getting into the system, learning it, and producing scenarios. By establishing the main building blocks (a webring is one) we know we need for such a community now, the better for all. -------------------- All that we see, or seem, is but a dream within a dream.
