Hi there all, I have designed various floors and placed them accurately in my custom graphics sheet. They draw fine in the 3D scenario editor. :) They do not draw fine in BoA itself. In fact, they draw as if they were one pixel too far to the right. So I thought, hmm, well, okay, I'll shift them left by one pixel. Now, they appear as if they are one pixel too far to the left in both BoA and the 3D editor. Can anyone help me out here? -------------------- "Power is my mistress." - Napoleon Upcoming scenario: The Game of Houses Posts: 9 | Registered: Wednesday, February 2 2005 08:00 |

I'm assuming you're using a Mac, since you use the 3D editor. It'd be useful to know what graphics editor you're using to make the graphics, and what resource editor you're using to insert them. (I've had trouble with ResEdit lately and prefer ResFool .) By the way, if you haven't done so already, be sure to submit your floors to the Louvre once you get them working. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Hi, Yes, I am using a Mac, with OSX 10.3.8. I have been using Appleworks (which I dislike, but hey, it's free; can you recommend a better free program?) and ResEdit (running in Classic). I will now try ResFool. Sure, I'll submit all the graphics to the Louvre as a package when the scenario is complete. At the moment, I can't guarantee that any of them actually work properly! -------------------- "Power is my mistress." - Napoleon Upcoming scenario: The Game of Houses Posts: 9 | Registered: Wednesday, February 2 2005 08:00 |

BTW I have been finding that many great things can be done just by changing colors etc. e.g. big bronze statue + te_icon_adjust = 80 becomes a cool ice statue EDIT: although I found the plinth annoying, so I have removed it. BBEdit Lite is what I use. It's free and good. For text, I mean. I use ResEdit for graphics. Yeah, uh, Barebones has discontinued BBEdit Lite, and replaced it with Text Wrangler 2.0, which is what I use for scripting. It's great! But for actually drawing the graphics, I have to use AppleWorks. I was using Corel Painter IX, but only on a trial run, and my 30 days ran out. Needless to say, I don't have the hundreds of dollars required to actually buy Painter, although I'd love to because it is truly fantastic. -------------------- "Power is my mistress." - Napoleon Upcoming scenario: The Game of Houses Posts: 9 | Registered: Wednesday, February 2 2005 08:00 |

Oh, you meant the paint functions of Appleworks... my apologies for not reading closely. You may be able to fix the Appleworks format issues by opening and saving your graphics in Preview. Issue sorted. Apparently, it was Appleworks. Using Preview and GraphicConverter X, the floors draw properly. Thanks all! WARNING for all artists: APPLEWORKS IS BAD. -------------------- "Power is my mistress." - Napoleon Upcoming scenario: The Game of Houses Posts: 9 | Registered: Wednesday, February 2 2005 08:00 |
