The ranks don't have an effect on the game. Dikiyoba's party is currently composed of a veteran, two healers, and thaumaturgist. Dikiyoba thinks that the member with 15 levels of tool use and 5 levels of priest spells is more of a rogue than a healer, but that's nitpicking.
