I was just thinking, that if that guy that sits at the entrance of that cursed place (ancient or lost bashikave, I can't remember. Its where that curse is) doesn't scream, than the altar also wouldn't start spawning undead, or not?

Yep, a good example of an undead character which actually develops the story. More scenarios need that (which scenario had the two ghouls playing chess... was it DwtD?). However, "a swarm of zombies and skeletons" is neither a valid character nor a Geneva Convention-condoned plot device.

Needless to say, testing Undead Valley was therefore a painful experience. Hence my sig, and my general swearing off of undead-fights.

Well, thanks for the compliment Ephesos! Mind you, that the character doesn't have a real role in the scenario, its just an undead character who does more than hack'n slash.

I'm finally in the catacombs under Bashikava, and I managed to quite quickly solve the machinery puzzle. I really liked it. However, the thing with the curse in ancient Bahsikava (?) wasn't all that hard. I figured out, that if there is no screaming, the altar won't start sumoning. So all I had to do with to quickly finish off the slith guarding the entrance of the hole structure. Aftaer that I calmly walked to the altar, defeated the sliths guarding it and destroyed the altar.

So I'm still in the catacombs and found 1 triangle. How many triangles are there in the catacombs? I suppose three, because I need two more. If there are only one or two, could anybody PLEASE tell me where to find the others?

You realise that there's a walkthrough in the scenario folder, going by the name of HINTS.txt?

Yes, there are three triangles in Catacombs.

quote:
Enter the first door on the west and kill the ghosts. There's a spellbook with Repel Spirit level 5 there. Behind the second door, there's another metal triangle and a bunch of potions. Explore the rest of the area.
quote:
The next important room is in the northeast. It has avatars, mung demons, and a couple of ghosts. I did not actually figure out a way to defeat these enemies all together, but it is possible to lure them out one by one.

(snip)

Search the middle box and you'll get the fifth metal triangle.
You have to have all the other five triangles to get the sixth.

quote:
When you are done, head to the last remaining door, one in the south wall of the north corridor, next to where you shut off the spawners. Pass through the door to the east, wash yourself in the pool, and ascend to the chest. Take the last triangle and head north, out of there.

Yes, I read the walkthrough, but I was getting to frustrated to read it properly. However, before I saw your reply, Thuryl, I already got the triangles and opened the steel doors. Wow. I can say now, although I'm just half way in the scenario, that I never felt anything like I felt here in other scenario's. frustration and extreme irriation almost all the time (except at the machinery level). But the cutscene at the doors really made up for it. Espacially that part with the journalist before Legare comes I'd love to see again, again and again. I supposes that the main point is not "Its to advanced for me... I can't make it..." but the point is "I wish I came up with this idea", if you understand what I mean.
