Well it depends on whether designers want to put in huge battles. -------------------- Riot Shields Voodoo Economics It's just business Cattle prods And the IMF I trust I can rely on your vote Posts: 530 | Registered: Sunday, September 1 2002 07:00 |

Uhh yea... in case you didn't know (which you apparently didn't), BOA is based almost completely on user created scenarioes (ie... quests). You'll download them, install them to the correct place, place the custom graphics if there are any, and load up BOA. If it's anything like BOE, there will be simply a button to press and a list to chose from. All too easy.... So yes I guess the answer is "YES". I'm almost positive that people will make massive battles. Although this is a problem to me because I'm impatient, and don't like waiting while all the OTHER things have their turn. Darn turn-based combat... -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

I never took the time to play Age of Wonders so I don't know what you're talking about. But anyway... I think it's spelled 'simultaneous', or that to some degree. You were thinking to hard! edit: that last line there^ [ Saturday, January 18, 2003 19:26: Message edited by: EEPLegolas ] -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! The engine will be the same as it is in Avernum 3, but the story and environment and monsters and etc. will all be different. -------------------- "At times discretion should be thrown aside, and with the foolish we should play the fool." - Menander ==== Drakefyre's Demesne - Happy Happy Joy Joy Encyclopedia Ermariana - Trapped in the Closet ==== You can take my Mac when you pry my cold, dead fingers off the mouse! Haha... unless someone makes an "Avernum 3 3xp4n$i0n p4ck!" (sorry bout that 1337, but uhh yea I was making fun of someone that would do that, calling them a '1337 h4x0r'). Wow... I hope no one does that... Oh btw Draky... if you're a member of the Triad, then who are the other 2? I haven't seen them around... Drakey is the only member of the Triad, actually. It's his special title for being admin and having poWers with a capital W. —Alorael, who supposes someone(s) will make a BoA scenario with massive battles. In fact, it wouldn't be too surprising to see many such scenarios. BoA will use the same turn-based engine of the other Avernum games, though, so don't get your hopes up for fast-paced melee hacking. Members 1 and 2 are in the Triad, even if their title is different. Member #2 is Krizsan, but Mariann has used the main Spidweb account, #1, for as long as I can remember. Of course, she hasn't been around much at all in any account for the past few months. —Alorael, who could also see including Zeviz in the group as a former temporary Triad Mage. And let it not be forgotten that Alec's title carefully specifies that he is not a Triad Mage as well... Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |
