Hi ya, I read the CoC through twice, and I do hope this is not considered off-topic material: Toys for Bob, the makers of Star Control II, are considering making a sequel to the series. What they need now, is for many, many fans of the game to sign a petition to show their publisher, Accolade, that there is already a large customer base, and that the game is therefore worth doing. The petition is at: http://sc2.sourceforge.net/petition/petition.php Please, only send it if you know and like the game, and would like to see a (real) sequel. More than anything else, this might blur the lines distinguishing advertising... -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I really, really, really, really hate undead. With a passion. Posts: 4130 | Registered: Friday, March 26 2004 08:00 |

Well, yes, but SC3 sucked, and in the event of another sequel, would likely be disowned entirely in the manner of Highlander 2: The Quickening. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

What Thuryl said. Besides, SC3 didn't have the original designers (Paul Reiche III and Fred Ford) on the team. Basically what it did was water down and/or ruin every interesting story line that SC2 built. By the way, did I actually reach anyone who cares with this thing? Because if just one email got sent, I'd consider the topic a success. Edit: typo. Well, alright. I liked Star Control III's ship battles, at least. I spent a lot of time fighting my friends in them. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |
