a "delete post" option

Hey, who ever thinks their should be a "delete post" option for your posts. Because I could certainly do with an option like that right now. For the "opps" topic actually. :(
I'm just so annoyed right now. First I make a post that needs editing. I try to edit it and what happens? I somehow magically make another post, and then more annoyingly, another one :mad:
I do ask moderators to delete posts like that, but they never go any where. Why can't there just be a "delete post" option :confused:
