ive played through a good part of the original exile game a long time ago,but never got around to regestering it. and i come back to this site to see what was going on,and i found blades of exile where you could actually make your own maps/scenarios and i thought this was a great idea! my question is,is this community still very active in scenario making? i hope so..going to check back in a few days to see peoples comments thanks :) Posts: 2 | Registered: Saturday, February 12 2005 08:00 |

BoE still has a very active community, and over 200 released scenarios. -------------------- My BoE Page Bandwagons are fun! Roots Hunted! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

You should really consider Blades of Avernum. Its a much better looking game though it has fewer released scenarios so far. -------------------- I stop rubber at 160km/h, five times a week. CANUCKS RESPEK! My Style The Knight Between Posts. Posts: 2395 | Registered: Friday, November 2 2001 08:00 |

If you buy BoE, you can get BoA as well for only $15 extra. By the way, head to the Lyceum to see the heart of the BoE community and a significant part of the BoA community. If you like Exile, especially Exile 3, get Blades of Exile. There are hundreds of scenarios, dozens of very good scenarios, and even scenarios generally acknowledged to have better plots than the Exile games. There are scenarios that are similar to Exile in style and there are scenarios that are really nothing at all like Exile. You can wring hundreds and hundreds of hours out of playing alone, and that's without even touching the scenario editor. Blades of Avernum is a little bit different. The scenario designing tools are more powerful but far less intuitive, so it might be harder for you to make a good scenario. That also means that fewer scenarios are coming out, and since it's only been out for a short time compared to BoE, there aren't nearly as many scenarios. If you really want to make a complex scenario and either have a working understanding of C/C++ or aren't averse to getting one, BoA is the right one. —Alorael, who has both. He really thinks that which one you buy is a matter of taste. BoE will allow you to spend more time right now, but BoA has more potential. If you have the money, get them both and give up sleeping and eating. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Eating and sleeping are wastes of time. You can sleep when your dead, and you wont need food anymore by then. Posts: 125 | Registered: Friday, February 13 2004 08:00 |
