Yes, it seems that it's finally that time...my old scanner (a Storm TotalScan - apparently Storm went out of buisness years ago) has simply refused to work with Windows XP. I plan to give it one more try, and then, well, it's time to buy a new one. So, I've been looking at potential candidates. So far I've checked out the CanoScan LiDe 50, on this page: http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=ProductCatIndexAct&fcategoryid=104 and the HP scanners on this page: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/ho/WF02a/15179-64195-215155.html ...but preferably keeping the price range under $150 US. =^.^=; Anyway, I was wondering if any of you had any thoughts about these or any other brands of scanners. Thanks! =^.^= -------------------- Digital Neko - more nekojin per capita than you can beat senseless! Now featuring all-new subdomain! Vote Richter! Belmont in 2004! Do you really need a scanner? If yes, go to www.newegg.com I'm pretty sure they have scanners, and they ALWAYS have the best prices. EDIT: Yep. Here to be exact.. And pretty much everything is under 150 except the ones that can copy an entire textbook in 10 seconds, flipping pages automatically.
