I just wasted the last few minutes of my life reading this topic, so I feel compelled to respond. or it could be the v-chip in my brain. dunno. I am at college also now. for gamin/graphics/simulation. but the market that is opening up is Linux, primarily for business users still, but they need games, too. So that is where I am setting my sights. Anyone learing a language, go to a college bookstore near you and look at the books they have to teach from. Write down the title. Do not buy the book there. Go to half price book store and get the older version. When you get to actual important programming info and updates go to bookstore (real or online) and get reference book. save money. and stupid.
