It re-directs me to cPanel (or ePanel, not sure, didn't bother reading), and says such directory does not excist. -------------------- - The Great Mister Posts: 972 | Registered: Tuesday, October 28 2003 08:00 |

Ack. It's still down. Is the upgrading process almost complete? My palms are sweating. -------------------- "Let a man find himself, in distinction from others, on top of two wheels with a chain- at least in a poor country like Russia- and his vanity begins to swell out like his tires. Desperance was switching servers like throwing a ball to someone else, but unfourtunately the ball fell in the sea between the two servers before it reached the other side. In other words, the server transfer went horribly wrong and desperance has gone to /dev/null, I think. Apparantly it was because whoever did the company that hosted the source server cancelled desperance's account before the host had a chance to transfer it. -------------------- CMS for PHP/MySQL Supporting Webservers The Automated Ad-Free Horizontal-Scrollbar-Proof Blades of Avernum Script Archive Posts: 612 | Registered: Saturday, October 13 2001 07:00 |

That's what it looks like. I frankly have no idea, I'm trying to track down Dan Luria so I can crack his head against a concrete wall. Of course, it's not really his fault. They claim to have old backups. They better damn well. In the meantime, I'm going to work on switching to my OPG hosting account. Posts: 999 | Registered: Friday, June 27 2003 07:00 |

Djur is lying if he said "upgrade". Our accounts were completely nuked. All of them. Mine, Dan's, Matt's ^_^ V Without warning, CitadelHost shut us down, deleted all our files, and have no backups. Everything at Desp that was Desp and that would've been Desp is no longer Desp, but consigned to the eternal void. Anywho, here's my sorry message: Dear Valued Customer, We here at Feranix Enterprises apologize for this horrible event, but as you may or may not know, we have our server hosting through Dan Luria, our representative in Connecticut (USA) who derives his hosting from CitadelHost. CitadelHost spontaneously cancelled my, Dan's, and Matt (desperance)'s accounts within a 2 minute timespan. A refund was issued to us, but our accounts were deleted without any chance of backup or warning. Thus, we have switched server hosting to another area, still with all our capabilities, but we have been downsized from 6 GB space 60 GB bandwidth for the company as a whole, to only 2 GB of space and 20 GB of bandwidth (all figures are on a per month basis). We deeply apologize for any data lost, and am sure, as responsible developers, that hopefully you'll have backups on your hard drives. With our new hosting plan, we have our own nameservers: ns1.songofthepack.com ns2.songofthepack.com Unfortunately, however, it will take one to seven days to register them, so DNS changes may not appear for over a week. We kindly ask you, if you wish to continue hosting, to send a reply e-mail in acknowledgment, once again providing username (8-character limit), password, domain, and that you switch to the new nameservers, which may not function for the maximum period of one week, the minimum period of a day. Once again, we apologize for any inconveniences, and will badmouth CitadelHost from now on. --- Peter M. Flor President Feranix Enterprises //////////////// EDIT- Also, there was no "upgrade", Dan was switching servers away from Citadel so we didn't have to have random downtimes. There was no server transfer or anything. F*** Can we have a funeral of some sort? Or perhaps, (don't hurt me, please!) it was better that it happened. Ah, well. -------------------- I want my Desert Plah back, (Drakey, check your PM's.)
