In E3, you put her in an antimagic cloud and keep summoning quickghast simulcra until she dies or you use up your 1000th energy potion. BTW, I know this topic applies to both A3 and E3, but can't we move it to either--preferably whichever sobbuster is asking about--rather than having it in General? It's easy as hell to kill Rentar in A3. Capture Soul one of the Ur-Basilisks you fight on the bridge outside of her tower. Summon a bunch of those, and she goes down easy. (The game will still count her as alive, though- you can't kill her, and then go over to the platform without being teleported. He's a she by the way. :P ***SPOILERS*** I forget how exactly the final battle (Erika vs. Rentar) happened (that's a lie of course, I never got that far ;) ). I think the player has to push some control panel while Rentar is otherwise occupied. Dunno what she does afterwards, or whether she's killed. It's the only time I know of where Rentar is hostile, so I'm assuming you mean this battle when you speak of killing Rentar. If it is, I think killing Rentar is unnecessary, because you just need to press the button. Ghikra has a party death node that goes off if you make anyone hostile. —Alorael, who suspects that Jeff intended to make Rentar immortal but didn't quite do it right.
