You can only kill him at the end of the game.

In E3, you put her in an antimagic cloud and keep summoning quickghast simulcra until she dies or you use up your 1000th energy potion.

BTW, I know this topic applies to both A3 and E3, but can't we move it to either--preferably whichever sobbuster is asking about--rather than having it in General?

It's easy as hell to kill Rentar in A3. Capture Soul one of the Ur-Basilisks you fight on the bridge outside of her tower. Summon a bunch of those, and she goes down easy. (The game will still count her as alive, though- you can't kill her, and then go over to the platform without being teleported. Sorry.)

You're much concerned but not involved by

But we are sick and tired of hearing your song,
Telling us how you are going to change right from wrong,
'Cause if you really want to hear our views,
You haven't done nothin'.

Well I would guess that Rentar is too valuable for the story that he could be killed totally

He's a she by the way. :P

***SPOILERS***

I forget how exactly the final battle (Erika vs. Rentar) happened (that's a lie of course, I never got that far ;) ). I think the player has to push some control panel while Rentar is otherwise occupied. Dunno what she does afterwards, or whether she's killed. It's the only time I know of where Rentar is hostile, so I'm assuming you mean this battle when you speak of killing Rentar. If it is, I think killing Rentar is unnecessary, because you just need to press the button. If it isn't, killing Rentar is impossible, or should be, because it messes up the plot. :P

I think she just goes back to whereever she came from. Descending into the depths of Exile and plotting a whole new demise for the surface world, or just humans in general.

***MORE SPOILERS, ALTHOUGH THE WARNING IS A BIT LATE IN THIS THREAD!***

Rentar's Keep isn't just the only time Rentar is hostile, it's the only time you can fight her, period. Ghikra has a party death node that goes off if you make anyone hostile.

—Alorael, who suspects that Jeff intended to make Rentar immortal but didn't quite do it right. The programming assumes that Rentar-Ihrno is always alive because she's supposed to be.

BTW, I wonder if you can do that in BoE (death node upon making towns hostile). Does anyone know how?

And Alorael, thanks for the 'SPOILER' Edit, completely forgot about it. :P
