1) XP
2) Maybe, maybe not - I download and install stuff almost daily, and I've never had any problem like this before.
3) Not that I know of.
4) Everything works fine, except that the game crashes as soon as it saves. It still seems to save, but it crashes immediately afterward.

Since I'm on Windoze, 1.0.1 is the latest version. Reinstalling the patch doesn't seem to help.

It just started happening today; I tried restarting, but to no avail.

I have 1.0.1, by the way.
