clawbug canyon locked door in Geneforge Series

I've completed the entire game (save inner g-u), and still can't get that door to open in clawbug canyon. Any tips?

Also, the doors in Rising(?) where only barzites can go...same question.

oh yeah, all of the barzites and takers are dead, so I can't get any help from them. this may cramp things a bit.
