The door to the inn opened slowly. A stout, compactly built, bearded man enters. He is wearing hard leather armor that is deeply scarred in some places and he has the look of a man who has spent many a day on the road. He has a scar upon his cheek; high on the left side, just under the eye. His hair is tied back in a ponytail under a hard leather cap. "G'day to ye", he says. "Be there any ale here and perhaps a bit to eat? I've been travelling long and fighting hard to get here. Heard there may be work hereabouts. Is that so?"
