True. But it was not... Erm, how am I supposed to say this.... I joked. Overdid it, used slight irony/sarcasm... Making a bit fun of the sgt more than anything. Guess I should have made that more obvious...

All berets look terible in that "position" You have to wear them, and shape them pretty much in order to make them "sit" properly... A good beret is not a good beret until it has been worn for a few months, and during this time made dripping wet, and worn till it has dried out. This is relative to the fabric used I'm sure though...
My beret, being fairly new, is unruly and not yet perfect... Such is the life of a soldier. I assure you, join the military, and while in you will be much more concerned about your looks than ever before.
If I were to describe the sgt I had during recruit, his main interests included;
Clothes
Shoeshine
Facial shaving
Makeup(Okay, okay - camouflage...)
Gun oiling and cleaning.
Status of the room...
etc...

In short, if you look good, you're a good soldier... So, I know a whole lot more about clothes care now than I did before I was drafted...

As for the spiderweb beret. Looking good or bad... I thought it was funny...

hehe... No matter the prices. I won't pay (and have not payed) such a price for a beret. That one is not my style either. Nor one I'd look good in for that matter. But, like I said, no matter the prices, I just found it slightly amusing - so I posted it here. As for wearing the beret itself, it's not my style.
But I am wearing a beret on a daily basis - seeing how I am a soldier and all...

I am obviously quite different from you. Yes, I can easily wear such clothes. I may be an idiot seeing how I am not overly active in politics, but I would not call myself overdramatic. Nor would I use "idiot" the way you obviously intended - I do not consider myself of inferior (or superior for that matter) intelect.

I'd recommend you read the forum rules though. I think you just broke some.

If you wear clothes everyone else wears, clothes which follow the commercial average style - without giving any thought to what messages you send, without giving any regard to your respective personality - THEN you lack self respect. If anyone wears "normal" clothes because this is in accordance to their actual personality, their oppinions, their culture - then I'll respect it. But if they wear a certain style - regardless of which - because of a mask, be that the wish for acceptance, a fear of expressing yourself, a wish to look like, or be associated with a certain character or personality - which is not your own, but one which you want to adapt - then I do NOT respect your choice in clothing at all, and I will stress that this would be showing a severe lack of self respect.
If you respect yourself, you will not be afraid to show the real you. If the real you is a person with a so-called gothic style, then what is wrong with dressing "gothic"?

(IMHO Kambriel makes some really nice clothes - if you're a skater or something though, I'm sure you'll disagree...)

It's a unique item as well, so I'm sure it has some pretty neat magical properties ;)
