They are moved into a line, as if I'd ended and restarted combat. In avernum 3, if I cast return to life during combat the position of my characters changes. They are moved into a line, as if I'd ended and restarted combat.

This occurred when my priest raised a character that had died in combat (while she had 0 health), and it transported my priest into a cloud of blades. :(
