You'd think, one of these days, we'd get things organized enough that one wouldn't need to go trudging around to find one person or another.

A simple intercom would do nicely: "Paging all healers, all healers. Ephesos needs reviving, I repeat Ephesos needs reviving... and Tyranacus too... just incase."

Plus, where are the security cameras? The meddle detectors? The thumb-print-retina-scan-voice-analysis entry to the moderator room?

On a different note, there's still pleanty of room at TrueSite if you need someplace to store surplus elements or, say, an extra summoning machine.

PS. I'm really enjoying the story. Loved the deathmatch blurb. (;

My very first pdn for the spiderweb boards was my very unimaginative real name. Then I left for about six months, forgot my password and started a new account as Gizmo. When I recovered my old account I wanted a new name for it and have used some variation of Jewels since.

For the most part, anyway.

Thanks,(to Taliesin, too). I'm a bit disappointed this year though. We made a point to go pick our own pumpkins from the supposedly best patch in the Twin City area paying a premium price, only to have them start to rot the day after I carve them. Usually they last at least two weeks. Of course, usually it's below freezing instead of in the 60's, but still. They looked terrible by Halloween night. :(

Sorry nobody came to your house. Our bell rung less then a dozen times and three of those times it was my own kids. You'll just have to eat all that candy yourself... or mail some to me. I can help. ;)

We trick-or-treat and carve pumpkins almost every year. This year Komo Zoo had a special thing we went over to. The schools have parties for the kids, downtown has an early 3-5 treating, and 6-8 is the official door to door treating time. I'm not sure what we'll make it to since we'd also like to have a bonfire in our yard. The weather is beautiful here this year.

This year's pumpkins:

Current moniker is short for Jewels of the Forest which references my characters in an RPG of yesteryear. Put down it reflected my interests since it seemed the closest. I do enjoy my gems... and the forested outdoors.

Your reactions. Those who like to use people as punching bags, also like to hear the punching bag get upset about it. It gives them a reason to punch you more and the cycle continues.

When getting punched no longer bothers you, it usually tapers off to the occasional jab. Being less serious and more humerous couldn't hurt either. I'm not so sure that you really committed all your sanity to the pile at the door.

I agree that the Homeland rule is now obsolete since it's no longer offered by Spiderweb but it does offer some nostalgia. Perhaps instead of rewording all the inside jokes, I could just include the proper linkage to the Archive so that those newbs so incined can inform themselves more easily.

A little help finding the most appropriate posts would be greatly appreciated.

Responding to the e-mail sent by The_Ratt:

1. Member #4 is banned and not likely to come back.

Even though member #4 (Terror's Martyr) is banned he is still an active member of the community. He still makes scenarios and can still speak on the boards through other people. Rules about him will probably always stand. And if you don't know who he is please inform youself. I'd give you a link to his HoF entry but The Lyceum seems to be down at the moment.

2. Ed is banned and not likely to come back.

Ed is banned, true. But he has tried several times to come back. I believe the only rule about Ed is to not make a moniker with any reference to him or his name so as not to be confused as him and be banned without warning. It's mostly an inside joke for those of us who were here when Ed was.

3. Some of them just seem old, and/or need clarification.
4. There are new ones that we could add on.

As for any other edits/additions please go ahead and post specific new rules or changes you would like to see and we'll discuss them. The last edit was around two months ago and almost everything was approved then but I'm always open to suggestions.

Got up, got the kids off to school, went to the ymca for an hour, dishes, went through boxes of Halloween stuff, picked up d, made lunch, ate it, did some data entry for hubby, picked up a, b, and c, laundry, watched a movie, made supper, ate it, put kids to bed, played kol, threw a pie at salmon, TP'd salmon's house, threw a brick through salmon's window, visited this forum, wrote this post...

Pretty regular stuff. Nothing exciting.

PSA: Mho's contained within.

Ok, I've informed myself on all the candidates and where they stand on the issues.

I would not be happy with any of the democrats currently running. If I had to choose one, I could live with Joe Bidden or Mike Gravel even though they both clash heavily with my social stances. Their redeeming quality is their support of FairTax which I hope to see within my lifetime. And if pit against Rudy Giuliani or John McCain, I'll be voting Democrat next year.

All other Republican candidates would be acceptable in varying degrees, but my favorite is dun, dun, dun...
Dr. Alan Keyes

Clearly,
(.)*0 = :(
and
(.)*2 = :)
but
(.)*(2*x) where x is = or > 2 = :D

Or at least that's what I've heard.

Curiously, I seem to have failed to participate in any previous political polling, though I vividly remember doing it at least once before.

Around the time of the True Neutral test I believe and I remember being very close to the middle but a little to the right and down.

Edit: Remembering more. It was less than 1 to the right and exactly 0 for L/A, I'm sure of it... well, mostly sure... as sure as I can be... um.

Much to my surprise this is my result for today:
Economic Left/Right: -3.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.31

I think you guys must be rubbing off on me. ;)

Is that a good thing?

You have to make nice with the admins. And you will probably need to show exemplary behavioral improvement for however long said admins deem necessary.

Basically play nice and don't worry about it. PM an admin no more then once a month to ask nicely if it can be removed.

Of course, I have not tested this but it should work... in theory.

1. Turkey by my parents is a 3 because they would use a wild bird off Grandma's farm that they shot themselves. The dressing would be the cheapest brand possible mixed with extra celry, and the cranberry sauce would still hold the shape of the can it came out of. None of which is expressly terrible, I've just had better.
2. I prefer apple pie with my turkey if you're asking for a fruit otherwise corn on the cob is a favorite side dish.
3. Not usually, very few in the family like it.
4. Eat it, along with the turkey heart, liver, and (my favorite) gizzard. Yum!
5. Done right it's a must have. There have been dressings I didn't like though.
6. Not really... I'm pretty sure that having turkey leftovers for the next two weeks is a fairly normal and widely practiced tradition.

*starts to write descriptions for individuals who are not forthcoming*

3 Spring:
Lithium is greatly heat-resistant, possessing a low coefficient of thermal expansion and the highest specific heat capacity of any solid element. I don't think I've ever seen Spring mad. The metal also has about half the density of water meaning it can float above most of the muck.

4 Kingy:
Beryllium has the highest melting point of the light metals. It has excellent thermal conductivity, is nonmagnetic and resists attack by acid. It is prized for it's rigidity in wide temperature ranges.

5 Mysterious Man:
Elemental boron is used as a dope in the semiconductor industry. Chemically boron is electron-deficient, possessing a vacant p-orbital. It is an electrophile. (Sorry, I work with what I have. :P )

12 MagmaDragoon
Elemental magnesium is a fairly strong, yet light-weight metal. It tarnishes slightly when exposed to air, and reacts when it is submerged in water. Milk of magnesia is commonly used as an antacid.

I don't consider myself the best at writing these so thoughts and comments are welcome.

It's up, try refreshing your page. It's always good to refresh while I'm updating so your computer loads the most current files.

Point of interest, quotation marks (") in the text breaks my file. I can easily replace with apostrophe (') but it'll help if everyone uses them in the first place. Thanks.
