I , on the other hand, have a cheap dial-up connection that runs at 17k where we live. (that's why it takes me so long to get through all the topics. :P ) -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

This is the only forum that I'm registered on, and I plan to keep it that way for a while. I spend enough of my time posting here already. :P I have considered registering on the Lyceum, but I'll just be content to read there. At least there TM actually keeps his username. :P Anyway, if I had had a question on Avernum, I would post it here and not have to go through the trouble of registering on a whole new board. Your board does look okay, though. I might visit from time to time. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Well, I am going up, so actually I'm pretty happy for my second star. And, if anybody was offended by the number 4808 (which I'm pretty sure none are), I chose it because when I tried to register at the MSN Gaming Zone, it was one of the only ben#'s left, so I've kind of stuck with it--even off the Zone. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

My brother has NHL 2003, really loves it even though our computer can barely run it :P , and it a pretty good game. (I think all EA Sports games are.) We have a  very slow Internet  though, so don't count on him. But, this is a Spiderweb board, not a EA Sports one. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

And now for Overwhelming's questions and some final remarks: quote:1. She says violence is okay--it's part of life. 2. ...Ummm, I haven't really figured this out, either. I guess see #1. 3. Same reason as last two. 4. Read last post. So far, it is okay for me to use alchemy and play scenarios whithout magical monsters as long as they don't cast anything. (so I can't fight them really) She recently said my little brother could use "Scry Monster" since it does really do anything bad except for provide monster information. Personally, though, I would consider it a waste of skill points for just that one spell. My dad, on the other hand, seems to not have much against Exile, in fact, when mom said she would leave this up to his decision, he let us do magic and stuff, and I beat the demo of E3. :) But now, . Any more question, or have I cleared this up well enough? -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Sorry for the lateness of this post. I have to work until 3:30 on weekdays to make money for college, a car, an apartment, etc. And a new computer, which I should have less restrictions on. I'll answer your questions: quote:No, unfortunately. quote:Thanks, if you find the time. ;) quote:According to her, the Bible talks about these things being evil. She says it's when you play with these things that makes them bad. quote:See the topic "New scenario idea" to see the interest that generated. quote:If she catches me using magic, etc., she'd probably make me get rid of the game entirely. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Everybody: Slap yourself for posting on this topic! You could have saved yourself a bad rating. Andrea, since this was such a dumb topic, why are you posting here? :P -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

quote:Thanks, GIFTS. And yes, I am a he. :) Andrea-I'm pretty the political thing had at least a little to do with your rating. :P I just thought a topic that has generated 46 replies would qualify as at least a slightly interesting topic. No hard feelings, though, even if it was your goal. (hopefully not) Also, I'm felling pretty good to not be an apprentice anymore. So feel free to vote me. (and I just might be able to get to two stars if I'm lucky ;) ) EDIT: What a coincidence! I just checked my rating-1.49-one hundredth off. Argggh. If you don't already know, I'm 14, so I'm pretty much still under the control of my parents. So, my Mom says I can play Exile as long as I stay away from all magic, demons, or (for no logical reason to my knowledge) goblins. So I'm pretty much restricted to working with no-magic scenarios on the scenario editor and playing them. I don't know of a *good* scenario that I could play like this. Also, as you might have guessed, I have to use an all-fighter party, hence my last topic. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Well, you seem to be a backwards person when it comes to your board appearance. Most people change thier sig constantly and leave their username alone. You, on the other hand, change your username constantly and leave you sig alone. (Of course, some people like TM change their username and sig constantly, but  ) -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Hence buying strength and speed potions (wherever you can get them) and preferable healing, curing, and poisons also. With plenty of these, you should be pretty well off. EDIT: Oh, and you don't need to bless and haste everybody; it just makes the fights a little easier. Just because there needs to be a new topic started here and there hasn't been a single post here in a while... What do you think of using an all-fighter party versus a magical party (in scenarios that don't require magic)? There are some advantages and disadvantages, and it's something different people might like to try. Also, what sorts of characters would you have if you had an all-fighter party (e.g. edged, bashing, pole weapons, archery, etc.) and/or race. I know we talked about this briefly earlier, but just to get the ball rolling here again... EDIT: Here's where I mean: If Magic is your Crutch [ Saturday, July 24, 2004 16:13: Message edited by: ben4808 ] -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |
