The way I look at it, it's too bad you don't get a new title at 4k, but one 500 before. However, in TMs case, his title of Trademark is very fitting. Congrats, though it looks like I'm a little late. :) -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Yep, I just brought myself to click on the link. I'll agree there are too many categories (and sub-categories) there. Also too many 0s. :P With about 10k members, this forum would be a great one, but as it is, it still needs some Google sponsored links. ;) -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Did you read this thread? Then you'll know what we're talking about. I've seen enough gaming forums come and go that I don't figure I really need to go through another one. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

That's cool. I don't think my dad even remembers what Exile is. :P I found out about Exile on a CD from Walmart with 1000 pieces of shareware on it (most of which didn't work anyway), that included E3. I was hooked immediately. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

I always envisioned a stoat as a certain form of weasel, but I don't know for sure what they are, either, as I'm too lazy to look it up in the dictionary now. Anyway, I don't think graphics artists have really thought of creating forest animals to put in a BoE scenario, so I would suggest you do try to make your own. It shouldn't matter too much if they're a bit crude, as the whole game is full of pretty crude graphics. :P -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Well then, in my opinion, there should be a title for 10k, 25k, and 50k, just to continue the tradition. :) (not that anybody going to get that much, but...) Also, is Alorael the only one to be considered "Your Postliness"? -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

It isn't working for me, either (that annoying "page cannot be displayed" message). Maybe it's just down on dial-up. EDIT: I works fine now, just type in the whole address in the address box. I might stick to my trusty old name for a while, however, I have slightly considered just "ben" or something like that, since that's just what everybody calls me. And, I've only been here since June, so I'm a relative newbie, and Alorael has always been over 7,500 posts while I was here. So, I figure he must have become a mod after the 7.5k mark, as I thought all mods assume the title "blademaster," and it doesn't change. (correct me if I'm wrong here) Anyway, he has had a lot of usernames. :) -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

We can talk here for 289 posts on the many names of TM, while totally disregarding the fact that Alorael changes his username almost daily. The only way I can tell it's him when he posts is he's always on the end of the moderator list and because of his "sig" (Alorael, who......). How many usernames have you had (on estimate, maybe)? -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Well, I did try BoA (demo), installed it, clicked on the icon, and got about three error messages, so I'm guessing that BoA isn't compatible with the computer we have BoE on (and no, I can't put it on another computer). If it doesn't work, why register it? ;) -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

quote:tHT--this was also meant as a warning. If you so concerned about your rating, why were you posting here, as this seems to have become a topic that contains a virus, so to speak. ;) I'm posting as much as I want here, though because 1. It is my topic, though an "idiot" one, according to Andrea. 2. Andrea can only give me one Evil Preist rating in the current account. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

All I can say is: Enjoy your veteranhood. It won't be long before you're a guru (considering you start writing 15 posts a day, but yeah.) I, on the other hand, am on the verge of accomplishing a much lesser feat: Citizen of Exile, one tenth of your posts. I'm on my way up there, so watch out! </bragging> -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

I beg your pardon. My parents are actually good parents---better than some I know. :( My mom just has her view on Exile; all parents have their own views on things. I'm actually they will cut down the restrictions when I'm older, but until then, I'll be glad for thier support and care. These board are a good enough dose of Exile for me for a while. All I really can do is wait. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

quote:I've tried arguing that before---a few times. No result. At least I used to be able to fight magical monsters, and that's when I beat VoDT (with an all-fighter party, of course. But I can't now, and it'll take a fair measure of luck for that to change. quote:So I've seen. :) quote:1. They can count on me to be honest. I just play a scenario until something happens that's "bad," and then I immediately have to load up a save file or quit the scenario. Or course I might be able to sneak through a scenario, but...read the first sentence. 2. The only reason he wanted Scry Monster was so he could do the first assignment (by Prof. Wrexus) in Emulations, which actually was a lure into his office (and a lever that we couldn't pull because we didn't know Unlock. :P ) One of my brother is a fan of Exile while the other hates it. I can just heard him, "Mom, he's casting speeeeelllls!" [ Tuesday, July 27, 2004 13:41: Message edited by: ben4808 ] -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

TM-How about Wound? Or Divine Thud? Those don't produce 'godly' consequences to their victim. Rosycat-I think you'd better count on putting plenty of lamps and healing potions in your scenario. :P -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |
