Yes, you can have West velocity with East acceleration. It's just slowing down. Technically, deceleration is acceleration.

As for your second question, I got to the end of the first sentence, and my brain said "Oh, come on, is the work really worth it?" So I don't have an answer to it.

I was just trying to find out what "leetness" meant.
I'm surprised you didn't know before. It gets used all the time all over the 'net. Not that it's a bad thing...

quote:
And then I learned too much from Wikipedia and shot an arrow thorugh my head to stop the pain.
Yeah, some people have big problems with reading leetspeak. Personally, I have more trouble writing it. I can read it almost as good as I can read English, but then again, I can read upside-down and sideways fairly easily too.

quote:
I really didn't care. I mean, I didn't like it, but its not as if I would hack the system to edit all your posts over it.
That's the kind of attitude I like to see. You have your opinion, but don't try to force it down anybody's throat.

Edit: Satan's post (post number 666).

The chorus of the song "Hair of the Dog" by Nazareth, though the beginning riff in "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC might fit as well.

Well, if I start doing something annoying again, remember this phrase:

"You catch more bees with honey than with vinegar."

In other words, don't complain and hurl insults at me, just ask me nicely to stop.

quote:
I, however, was moderately pissed off for the sole fact that I have nothing better to do, and it seemed like something to do to pass time.
Just do what I do when I get angry: write about something that makes you angry, and put it on a website for all to see. It's like screaming at people in public, but anonymous.

Or you could just resort to beating a tree down with your bare hands.

Yeah, but is it really something to get angry over? Do people get angry when they show a bad episode of the Simpsons several times in a row? Sure it's annoying, but not quite rage inducing.

Just a question: Why was it causing everybody to get upset? It's not like I was insulting anybody with it. Would you have gotten any less upset if I had just put it in my sig? If so, why? It's not like little dashes below some pointless text instead of above it are going to bring a curse down on your family. I just don't see what was so bad about it.

Oh, how witty!(sarcasm, for those who can't pick it up there) It's pretty sad that you're immature enough to verbally attack someone who has done nothing to you (intentionally anyways). "Finding your inner child" (not implying that was my intention) is one thing, but just being plain immature is completely different (i.e. what you've just done). I would also like to point out that not all 6 year-olds wet the bed, and assuming they all do is idiotic.

I would say fashion right off the top of my head, but some might argue that it's not pointless, and some might argue that it is moronic.

Thinking about it harder, it's kinda difficult to think of something for that, unless I just say, "the </leetness> tag." Maybe some of the things done by people with Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder, as they are pointless, but not necessarily moronic.

I would like to point out that acting like a 6 year-old isn't necessarily a bad thing. I always hear people saying "find your inner child."

BTW, you are becoming a lot meaner, Ash. And don't drop the chicken-god thing, Thralni. If we all dropped what made us different, the world (and the message boards) would be a more boring place. It would just be a bunch of people saying the same thing over and over, with everyone else agreeing.

quote:
Such as, for example, the scene we see above, which resembles a display of a pair of disgruntled six-year-olds.
That "forum duel" wasn't spawned out of meanness, it was spawned from two people who had nothing better to do.

quote:
X unit of time gone, want it back.
Nobody forced you to read it.

quote:
That exchange leaves the rest of us as having lost something.
Nope, just those on goldenking's team.

I never said an insult is the same as murder. The point I was making was that, just like all those found guilty of murder get punished, all those who get found guilty of insulting should be punished, regardless of whether it is interesting or well thought out.

I try not to insult people, but some people just need it. Namely, a lot of the people I met at the GameFAQ's message boards. Fortunately, this message board is mainly populated by intelligent life.

quote:
Unless you can insult with Alec's skill, Djur's vitriol, or TM's sheer orneriness, you're not even contributing interestingly.
An insult is still an insult, no matter how good it is. If one person gets in trouble for it, all who do it should. Everybody should get the same punishment for the same act. A well thought out and interesting murder is still a murder.

Once again, too much restriction on free speech. Every time I turned around, I was being accused by the mods for "insulting people" and "attempting to start flame wars." Now I did insult people, but they kinda deserved it, and it wasn't anything too harsh, except for the last insult I did there, which was intended to get me banned. Mostly it was things like "if you don't understand that, you're an idiot." Modding someone for something like that is just plain retarded.

*puts on armor made of blood-forged meteoric damascus titanium-mithril infused with adamantium and diamond dust, and to make victory guaranteed, turns on God-mode (for myself only) and disables access to the God-mode cheat by anyone (except myself).*

Now to destroy goldenking.

*teleports goldenking, and anyone or anything with similar DNA, body shape, voice, or fingerprints to a diferent galaxy, then disintegrates the entire galaxy with a fully charged shot from my phased anti-matter fusiion electroalysis plasma arclite shock-cannon (keyed to my DNA, and requires a password) then puts a forcefield around where the galaxy was that is impassable by anything, and can only be turned off from the outside (also keyed to my DNA and a password).*

Now I win.

The Mega Missile Launcher is keyed to my DNA. Besides, It's tied to the holster on my back with an indestructable rope with a know that is keyed to my DNA.

*takes the MML back, and turns goldenking and all the healers loyal to him, and all those weak-willed enough to join him, into a pile of fine ash, then disintegrates all the ash with acid.*

No, not really. I never feel a need to practice dark, dramatic, brooding looks, as I never use them. Besides, I don't like them anyways. They make me look like I'm trying too hard, which makes me feel stupid. I prefer a slight smile, or a plain straight face.
