There's a fair few neat items in Motrax's treasure, the most interesting of which is Scrioth.

I've never been able to successfully cast Capture Soul on Motrax. Some people say they've succeeded, presumably by spending hours on end sitting in front of the computer doing nothing but casting Capture Soul and reloading if it doesn't work. Not my idea of fun -- if I can't capture something after 10 attempts, I give up.

I thought Scrioth was only in E1.

In E1, Scrioth shoots flames, in E2, it has defense.

I've captured Motrax before. He's always the first monster I go after. And it only took me like 3 minutes (on average) to capture him.
