Crossing Tinraya Lava

I'm at the part where I come out of Tinraya keep and there's a lake of lava around me. I firewalk to the west and try to use the Orb of Thralni, but it says, "For some reason, it fails." How do I escape this area?

You have to walk across the lava to the northen end of it. There's a secret passage through the mountains there. Judicious healing will make sure you get there. However the suggestion that you rest as soon as you can once you are there is an understatement.

I don't think I'm getting this. On any space of fire at the north end of the lava, my Orb of Thralni does not work. Neither can I find any secret passages.

The orb isn't supposed to work. And along the north side there is a passage somewhere there. Keep looking and you'll find it. ;)
