Hi all, new to the series here, and I must say I love GF4.

Anyways, I was kinda sad that Greenfang was scripted to go evil on me, forcing me to kill him after all my hard work keeping him alive (you know, during the boss fight with his former master). Anyhows, after much reloading and trying of different tactics, I was able to save him!

So, my question is twofold: did I break the game? Am I supposed to be able to keep Greenfang?

Thanks!

And two: What are my chances of keeping him alive for the rest of the game? From what I can glean from the rest of the forums, the later chapters can get pretty crazy.

One way of keeping him alive still loses him soon after, for a plausible reason. But if you've found another way, I guess I don't see any reason why you can't just keep him (or her or it, I guess). A free Artila is nice in the early game, but won't make much difference for long, I expect.

There is no way to keep Greenfang (without cheating or abusing the game engine). If he wasn't around to go rogue with Shaila, he will stay back when you head to the next province, presumably because he misses her.

I had Greenfang after Shaila by not picking him up til after I helped her escape. He stayed with me til I entered the Eastern Checkpoint, and then turned back.
