Well, I have played like a maniac and now I cant get thruu to the scree caves. I cant get thruu from fort Saffron or Fort emerald.
I have about 12 in strenght but the wheel wont budge ( thruu fort saffron and the bandits layer).
There isnt anything left to kill or do to gain level and its getting kind of annoying standing at the same place.
Anyone have any suggestions?

You can't get into the Scree Caves until it's time for you to do so. Go to the Castle, keep doing missions for Houghton, and eventually the way will be opened up for you.
