Are these cumulative within your party or does the game use the character with the highest level in that particular attribute? Posts: 10 | Registered: Monday, December 19 2005 08:00 |

The game only looks at the total level of it in your party, so you should spread them evenly across everyone. Putting 2 points on every party member is much cheaper than putting 8 points on a single member. The same goes for First Aid, by the way. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Does in the earlier Avernum games the skill First Aid only matter on the person with highest skill, or is only the whole level of it important too.??? -------------------- You know, why the Sliths are green - because of their scales. Maybe you know why some slith eyes were once red - ´cause the demons, which led them were red. But why are the eyes of the Slith Lord Followers red? Because they see the remains of their enemies always before the battle begins! Posts: 179 | Registered: Friday, November 25 2005 08:00 |

Well, in previous Avernums, you could only use First Aid once per character per day. So having multiple characters with First Aid allowed you to use it multiple times per day. Apart from that, though, its effectiveness was based on the skill of the character using it at the time. Having many characters with very low First Aid skill was likely to do more harm than good. On the other hand, in every Avernum game except A4, First Aid is completely useless, so there's no point getting any anyway. It's pretty handy to have at least a couple of points in it in A4, though. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

You can buy a few points in First Aid for money and not skill points in Formello. That was enough to get me through the entire game handily. —Alorael, who decided that the key to First Aid is having enough so that you get at least two energy after killing one foe. That's enough for a Minor Heal or a Bolt of Fire, and for many minor battles that's all you need. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

First aid is even better with a party of all magic users... two mages use Icy Rain on four enemies, then end combat and recover all of the used SP. Has anyone looked at how Anatomy and First Aid interact in A4? -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I've been working on the assumption that a point of Anatomy is equal to a point of First Aid for First Aid purposes. I have no direct evidence to support this, though. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Oops. I actually meant Cotra. —Alorael, who actually thinks there are several places to train in First Aid. Cotra is just significantly cheaper. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Argh, ease off the capitals and exclamations and graemlins. There is no one named Aeoral. Alorael, on the other hand, is the person who signs every post with that name. The A is before the E, though. Something went right. —Alorael, who is Alorael and will continue to be Alorael for the foreseeable future. He firmly intends never to be Aloreal. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |
