G3 game locking

I've been having an intermittent problem with G3 locking up my computer on me. At first I thought it was simply it not likely my habit of multi-tasking, as the first two times it occured were when I would alt-tab to talk to a friend on ICQ. But last night my friend was hours gone to work, I had nothing else up at all, and it still locked up on me.

Umm... Help?

Comp stats: AMD 1.3Gh, Windows 2000, NIVIDIA GeForce 4 MX 4000 video card, 512MB Memory, 80GB HD (if it matters).

You could try updating the drivers for your video card.

=s= Thanks, but I have done that. I'd had an issue with another game that had me taking that route.
