Is it true that a point in Magery is the exact same as a point in intelligence??? If it is, than why not just buy a couple knowledge brews instead of training in Magery Posts: 36 | Registered: Tuesday, March 15 2005 08:00 |

I don't know about that equality (Magery = Intelligence), but I doubt it. Magery is difficult to get, you can't train in it in a Training Hall, and you need to buy the points (fairly expensive too!) The only thing I can tell you, sos, is that Magery makes your spells more powerful. WHat the numbers are behind that change, no clue. (Still, if you can, give your mage a few points. I always give it five just for the sake of it.) -------------------- quote:Random Jack Vance Quote Manual Generator Apparatus (Cugel's Saga) Posts: 604 | Registered: Sunday, June 20 2004 07:00 |

Magery adds to your Willpower and Magic Resistance (under Useful Skills) and each point counts towards your bonus for both mage and priest spells cast. Intelligence does the same and some other things besides, but it doesn't add to Magic Resistance. —Alorael, who would say that the real purpose of Magery is to make additional bonus feasible when your intelligence and appropriate casting skill are both very high. Every Now and then I see the message "Magery reduces the MP used for the spell" Or something along those lines. -------------------- The whole purpose of your life Might just be to serve as a warning to others. Magical Efficiency does it in BoA, but the skill doesn't exist in A3 and I don't think anything reduces spell costs. —Alorael, who didn't need cheaper spells in A3. BoA's spells took a big cost hike and efficiency became necessary. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |
