It's a simple side quest. If you complete it, you will get the Xian Coins, which gives you 1 coin at random times; you will be told when you get a coin. mundt has a good supply of different stuffs, so if you want to, you can find him. You dont have to join Anama, just wear the fake rings you get from Thieves' Guild in Lorelei.
