Just some minutes ago Nicothodes sent me an email containing the file of her experiment called experiment.bas.

When I tried to open it I saw it had the ZoneAlarm icon on it. ZoneAlarm Pro said that it may be harmful for my computer, knowing that it is a Blades of Avernum file I told the application to ignore the file, but when I tried to open it the file was corrupted.

Can this be a problem with the file or the whole .bas?

ZoneAlarm doesn't like anything it doesn't recognize, and .bas files aren't exactly common.

But it shouldn't change the contents of the file in any way, so something was probably wrong with it beforehand.

The file in itself was corrupted, as TGM stated before. The best way to reduce the risk of corruption is to compress the file in a zip/rar/ace format first, and then send it.

I had sent it before you wrote that, and I don't know how to send it as a .zip file. If anyone could help me that would be great. I have a Mac OS X.

No, it doesn't matter if it is corrupted before you send it. I send my own scenario to me and when I openned with the scenario editor it said "this is not a blades of exile scenario".

PD: BTW when I zip my scenario it size reduced from 313K to 7K O_O
