In DwtD, a guy (lower town, south-west) sell some "master's weapons"...
The master pike, for eg, does 8-56+1-7/level, and cost 5000, but the blessed haleberd does
7-56+1-8/level and cost 4000.
Both use the pole weapon skill, and are two-handed weapons, so the blessed haleberd is a better weapon.
Why it cost 1000 less?Is it a bug?Is there something I haven't understand?

1) the names pety cool
2) just another one of those small Jeff mistakes. Look at the steel helmet thread, it has the same problem.

The master pike has more sentimental value.
The shopkeep had to up the price so he could bear the pain of parting with it.

Well, the Master Pike is a unique weapon to the scenario...

...but yeah, just get the Blessed Halberd and don't ask questions.
