That's not "nicely recursive." That's "inelegantly recursive and redundant." -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

I dunno. Spidweb somehow manages to bring out my most aggressive, intolerant, grotesque, whorish, and slimy sides. Somebody (I forget who) observed the other night that I am halfway to becoming... He used to be such a nice boy! —Alorael, who would prefer to think of it as Spiderweb in a nutshell. It's just like Nephils vs. Sliths (for those who remember it) except in one page instead of dozens. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Where, exactly? Apologies for one-liners; I do that whenever I get the feeling the conversation is going over my head. -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. It's a paraphrase of a quote that's been attributed to various people: "Any philosophy that can be put in a nutshell belongs there". -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Wow, my pun-sensor has yet to fire itself up this morning. I know the metaphorical meaning of the "nutshell" of course, but didn't quite realize it was also used literally here. -- That doesn't change my question though, because now it's "it" in Alo's sentence I'm wondering about. (I thought earlier that Thuryl's "there" was referring to the same "it") quote: [ Thursday, March 16, 2006 23:32: Message edited by: We are the music-makers ] -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast.
