So there I was, idling in the chatroom, when out of nowhere I get this message:

quote:
[00:39] *** "spidweb" signed on at Tue Mar 07 00:39:24 2006.
[00:39] *** "spidweb" signed off at Tue Mar 07 00:39:54 2006.
Keep in mind I'm not talking to an AIM member named "spidweb" (Jeff?!); I'm in a chatroom named "spidweb".

So what the hell just happened?

Well, you never know. Jeff might've decided to join us for a bout of insanity at some point. It's a slightly scary thought, though.

That would have been accompanied by "spidweb has entered the room", though. "xxx has signed on" comes up when you have a private chat window open and the other person signs on.

I'm wondering what would happen if you made a chatroom named "RealArancaytar". Would you get messages whenever I sign off or on? Would you see all messages I send to anyone?
