At the end of the game I just killed Rentar and there's a pylon in the back where I'm supposed to leave by, because the other exits are blocked by rubble. It just says "you concentrate on the castle..." but I don't go anywhere. Something I need to do first? -------------------- And everybody say....Yatta! No, the pylon should take you to the ending sequence. Does it give you a message in a window or text on the bottom of the screen? —Alorael, who has now heard of two bizarre ending bugs. Fun! Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Sounds like a script problem. I just beat the game, and the end sequence went into effect as soon right after I hit the pylon. Unusual. You might overcome this bug if you reinstall and move your savegame over, as it's probably just a corrupted file. You haven't played around any with the scripts, right? Otherwise that may be part of the problem. -------------------- A few cats short of a kitten pot pie... Radioactive cats have 18 half-lives. No, I haven't messed with any of the scripts. Well, I've used the trainer a few times, but I don't think that would affect anything. And how would I move my save files? -------------------- And everybody say....Yatta! Posts: 1287 | Registered: Thursday, August 14 2003 07:00 |

After you reinstall, take all the directories with names starting with "Save" in your old Avernum 4 Files folder, and move them into the new Avernum 4 Files folder. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |
